Hailey Dewey

Hello! My name is Hailey Dewey. Unlike a lot of dog trainers I didn’t grow up around dogs. My Dad (and actually me ha!) are allergic so they were never allowed in our home. I was a relentless child, however, and would make slideshows about why we should get a dog. The answer, unfortunately, was still always “Heck NO”! until…things changed. I went through a really challenging several years of my life where emotionally, I was at rock bottom. This is where dogs literally saved my life. I found what an incredible emotional connection animals (and especially dogs) can form with humans and this is how I pulled myself out of the darkness. This is why my job at High Expectations is so special to me and I’m forever grateful for it! I love the chance it gives me to help people form emotional bonds with their dogs. It’s what keeps me going!

One of the many things I love about working with dogs is that it is a CONSTANT learning process. I also love getting to form close knit relationships with the owners and helping people meet their goals. I so appreciate the opportunity to work under Katie High and to learn from her expertise in the field that she has devoted so many years into mastering.

I am a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and the lead trainer for the puppy day school program. I also lead a puppy and me social hour where people come in with their puppies and I teach each person how to shape proper play. In addition I instruct manners classes as well as in home private lessons. I hope to get to meet you and your pup soon!
