Who Can Attend: This class is for well-socialized pups that have trained with us in classes, private training, or our school program.
Grains of Wrath has graciously allowed us to use their lovely patio for this special event. It’s the perfect setting to train your dog to be a wonderful partner at the table, making dining out a pleasure for both of you.
What to Expect
Our workshop will cover essential skills and behaviors to ensure your dog is the perfect patio
companion. Here’s what we will focus on:
1. Relaxing in an Outdoor Space
We’ll teach your dog to feel comfortable and relaxed in an outdoor patio environment. This includes helping them stay calm amid the various sights, sounds, and smells that can sometimes be overwhelming.
2. Accepting People Approaching the Table
Your dog will learn to remain calm and composed when people come up to your table. This is crucial for ensuring a pleasant dining experience for you, your guests, and other patrons.
3. Staying Calm Around Other Dogs
We will work on strategies to help your dog stay relaxed and well-behaved when other dogs pass by. This is an important skill for maintaining a peaceful atmosphere on the patio.
4. Entering the Patio Space Gracefully
Our trainers will guide you on how to enter the patio with your dog in a way that is smooth and stress-free for both of you. This includes managing the leash and ensuring your dog remains under control.
